SIP Executive Committee Meeting, Sept. 15, 2011
at North York Civic Centre
In my opinion,
we made good progress, thanks to your participation.
Summary of
our discussion is outlined below.
1.
Membership Structure
After a long time, we re-visited the membership structure of SIP.
Currently there
are two categories of memberships:
- Associate
(by signing for the SIPpost, no fees required)
- Professional
Member (by signing the Professional Code of Ethics).
At
this meeting, we proposed:
- Associate
(charge $25 annually, provide a limited benefits and some discount
to events).
- Professional
(charge $100 annually; provide full benefits and hefty discount
(i.e. 50%) events).
Review a detailed matrix, outlining the different membership
and associateship benefits.
2.
SIP Website 2.0 Project
I am pleased to announce the following as part of the project.
- Dorothy Birtalan, as Project Coordinator
- Alysha Dominico, Word Press
- Anas Tawileh, Drupal and Open Source
- Natalia Wahlberg, Graphic Web Designer
- Arthur Dwivedi, Web Analytics
We still need
content editor, usability coordinator

Next Meeting
Next event for SIP will be Oct. 14 at 6 pm, preceded by a volunteers
meeting at 4:30 pm.
