Before I begin, let me wish you a happy and healthy 2008 year. I would like to tell you about our programs and initiatives, some of the milestones which we have achieved in 2007 and I will conclude by giving you my plans for 2008.

I am happy to announce that 2007 was our 10 th Anniversary. We have done about 100 events during this last ten years and have hosted many successful workshops and participated in many shows.

The Society of Internet Professionals (SIP) is a not-for-profit organization. SIP's mission is to
enhance educational and professional standards for the Internet professionals. As such, SIP has created the Accredited Internet Professional ( AIP) designation . Practicing Internet professionals are invited to apply for AIP designation under various streams.

A. SIP website
It is resource intensive website, we have resources for IDTheft, Security, Usability, CMS. Portal Website: Various directories, Self Assessment for AIP Suitability,

We also have directories for corporate sponsors, speakers. If you are a speaker or expert then you should get on this directory, as I have found some associations and press are using it.

By becoming a SIP member, you are supporting an Industry association whose mandate is to develop accreditation for Internet Professionals. AIP is a SIP designation.

Membership in Society of Internet Professionals (SIP) is equally open to all non-internet professionals.
All members and Accredited Internet Professional (AIP) enjoys many benefits, such as saving on many
affinity programs and complimentary members' services.

The fee is $100 only per year (event fees are discounted for members) and 50% for students and professionals who are in-between jobs.

The Society of Internet Professionals (SIP) has launched a unique Internet Job Board, specializing in jobs for the Internet Industry. SIP invites members and non-members to post their job requirements or post their resumes:

2. Create Your Own Free Website (Yourname.SIPMembers.org)
This website is created for SIP members to publish their profile under their own name. A sub-domain is created for each member. All members are given complete control to post pages related to their profile. The website (hosted under a sub domain) will have the pages, similar to the navigation bar on your left.

D. Programs for 2008
Carry on with quarterly symposiums/seminar, annual workshop (SEO), participation at trades shows and conferences

1. SIP Web 2.0 Study Group
The Society of Internet Professionals (SIP) is interested in establishing a group to explore Web 2.0 including collaboration wikis tools and social networking sites. We are reaching out to such experts to be part of this group to participate or coordinate. The group is created on " facebook " (a social network site) to collaborate and will also meet once a month.

2. SIP Job Board
Finding a coordinator

3. Sponsored Event and Promoting Conferences: $5,000  

4. Large Booth at IT 360 Show
5. Participating with career Fair ad conferences

6. Partnering with AIC, CTN and other associations

We are continuing with the same Board ( our corporate members are automatically member of the Board) and volunteers but we need more.
